Friday Fundraiser BBQ at Cap Hill, 5/15

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Just a reminder that THIS Friday, May 15, GHCU is hosting a fundraiser barbeque at our Capitol Hill branch at 115 15th Avenue East. Whatever the weather, it’ll be a great opportunity to get out, nosh a hotdog (veggie version will be available) and support a vital cause: the Race for the Cure.

The gang at GHCU plan to fire up the grill around 11 am and will keep flipping burgers until 3 pm or until they run out. Branch manager Meghin Margel wants to send out a very special thank you to the 15th Avenue Safeway and QFC stores. They supplied enormous amounts of food in support of the cause, and we thank them for their unstinting generosity.

If you have a moment, step into the branch and see all the pink ribbons donated by members and the public, and perhaps give an extra few bucks to commemorate someone in your life who has been stricken with the disease.

We hope to see everyone at the branch on May 15 and walking with us for the Cure at June 7!
